I have learnt recently that you can let someone love something indirectly. You do it daily without realizing that every person has this talent underneath. For example, the alphabetical order; do you remember how we learnt it in school? They turned it to a song! Now, that’s creative.
Creative activities such as this video I have posted below can make a person love things you wouldn’t imagine they will ever love. For example, who loves stairs??
I was thinking about what I will do in my future and first thing that came to mind was my future house with the future husband.
I’m studying in Australia right now & decided to stay here for a long time; not only for studying but also for experience and work.
Anyway, until now I didn’t see Australians obsessed with home decors and all like people back home are. We care too much for the appearance.
I am finding it difficult to decide whether to make my future home simple and unique, or wild and simple at the same time.
I found many pictures that reflected my taste in such ways. The problem is, I love change. I hate to leave things the way they are for a long time. Even here, I love changing my apartment’s decor on monthly-basis. It’s annoying but I love it.
Here are some images I was thinking of keeping as ideas to what i’ll do to my future house.
Before I start talking about the current situation, I want to point out some facts that you must know:
Bahrain is supported by Saudia Arabia and USA.
Saudia Arabia is Bahrain’s neighbor and a bridge connects us both. United state fifth fleet of united states navy headquarters are in Bahrain’s capital, Manama.
So the King had really strong allies.
Back to the point, Iran, Iraq and Bahrain are the three countries in the world that have the Shiite Muslim majorities.
Since the beginning of this century, Shiite suffered from the policy adopted by the ruling family in Bahrain with the help of the British who believed in the “divide and rule” policy.
Everytime, someone or a group of people or an organization tries to speak up for what they are suffering from in Bahrain, the ruling family shuts them out either by undone promises or violence.
However, in 2011 and after The Egypt & Tunisia revolution started, it encouraged the people to go out and protest on the 14th of February, 2011. People first protested in the Pearl roundabout which was was a roundabout located near the financial districtof Manama, Bahrain.
They stayed there and even camped there until the a deadly night raid on the 17th of February. (It was a Thursday and people now are calling it Bloody Thursday because many martyrs fell that night). After what happened, people were rushing to Bahrain’s main hospital in Manama (Salmaniya hospital). You can’t imagine the scene there with blood everywhere and people injured and wounded. It was like an arena.
Ofcourse, The king and the government didn’t want that announced everywhere and accused everyone to be liars, put almost everyone who was there that night in Salmaniya hospital in jail and showed his sadness on TV.
More than 2,929 people have been arrested, and at least five people died due to torture while in police custody during that time only.
King Hamad then announced a three-months state of emergency in Bahrain after asking for for troops and armors from the Gulf cooperation council.
The Pearl roundabout was cleared from protestors and had troops all around it. It got destroyed on March 18, 2011, by government forces as part of a crackdown against the 2011 Bahraini uprising.
They also said that this roundabout brought back scary and ugly memories.
They dont know that this roundabout was the start of a revolution
In the 1990′s, (1994-2001) there was an uprising in Bahrain against the government for a democratic reform; all opposition groups participated; it ended up with forty martyrs. It all stopped in 2001 when King Hamad AlKhalifa became the prince of Bahrain (He is now the KING of Bahrain) after Bahraini voters approved a referendum on the National Action Charter. A new constitution was put and people were happy.
The number one point was that the ruling family inflamed sectarianism among the citizens. (This has affected the 1990′s uprising and the 2011 revolution).
Bahrain Revolution – The Situation is getting worse (1990s-2011)
Ofcourse everybody is proud of where they’re from. They struggle, strive and sacrifice for their homeland & that is what I would do for it.
Bahrain is a small island in the Persian Gulf. It might not be very popular because of its size and population but let me tell you some things about it.
It’s an island, as I stated above, with two seas overlooking it. Bahrain was declared a kingdom in 2002. You can Google the rest though.
Islam is the official religion and the major one and a majority practice Shia Islam. Approximately 70-75% percent of Bahraini Muslims are Shias and the rest are Sunni. However, the Ruling family are Sunni and they have ruled since the 1700′s.
They aren’t originally from Bahrain but we welcomed them with open arms.
They have ruled, they have tortured, they have raped and they have killed.
In the upcoming posts, I will explain to you from a personal view and an eyewitness-view of what we are dealing with in BAHRAIN.
As a start, this is a brief video explaining the situation:
